Above is a plein air and alla prima painting, meaning it was done on location in one go. You can see the beautiful resulting sketchiness of the paint, but once again a correct perspective underlying everything helps this work create and maintain an immediate believability. (The color plays into that hugely as well, but one thing at a time.)
