4: Imitation Texture in Paint
One of several (*many* several) places I've been looking for tips on imitation brick texture with paint — techniques like these see a lot of use by propmasters, set designers, interior decorators and the like, so that's where I tend to pull advice from.
Just a little extra hurdle to it in my case, as I'll be painting across different surface types (gesso, clay, molding paste, bare metals, etc.), and these all bond with paint/show color a little differently.
