5: Soul-Baring, Again

It occurs to me that I can't very well say I mostly do portraits and then not show any this week, so once again I'm on your mercy with the above and the following.
Ignoring the pose in the top work (it was within the context of a full series), stylistically that sort of approach is still broadly what I'm aiming for. But, the experimentation I'm currently dealing with is how to integrate that style of figure painting with, say, a background, or an overall environment all under the same lighting (currently my quickest ticket to the fuck-up zone), or with a bit of a further reach for realism.
