"It is easy to take a photograph, but it is harder to make a masterpiece in photography than in any other art medium." One could almost say the same about landscape vs. other genres, so just something for you to enjoy for today from a master photographer, environmentalist, champion of the National Parks, and 'landscape artist'.

And some things to ponder: how Adams, like Wood, might have a vision/narrative driving his work, and how photography changes the dynamic of approaching a landscape versus, say, plein air painting.
